People living in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine can demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of the Moderna, AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccine, or one dose of the Janssen single-dose vaccine. People can prove their vaccination status through the NHS COVID Pass service:
- in the NHS App (www.nhs.uk – NHS App)
- through the NHS website (www.nhs.uk – NHS COVID Pass)
- with a paper letter
People need to register with NHS login for the digital services. NHS login registrations may take longer than usual when there are high numbers of requests.
If people cannot access online services, and they are due to travel abroad in the near future, they can call 119 to request a letter that will provide evidence of their vaccination status.
Request a letter via the NHS website
It can take up to 5 working days from the date of your second dose appointment before the system is updated. We then expect the letter to take up to 5 working days to reach you.
